History
The history of BioClinica begins in 1990 with the founding of Bio-Imaging Technologies, an early pioneer in the Imaging Core Lab industry. As more pharmaceutical companies embraced clinical trial technology, Bio-Imaging’s leaders sought to expand their service portfolio and offer customers a complete clinical trial management solution. On March 24, 2008, Bio-Imaging Technologies acquired Phoenix Data Systems, a growing provider of eClinical solutions which had been in business since 1997. Deciding to make a fresh start with a new direction, the expanded company was re-branded as BioClinica and has been growing ever since in providing our customers global clinical trial management services.
Over the years BioClinica has built its clinical trial management service offering through a mix of in-house technological innovation and strategic acquisitions. These acquisitions have contributed greatly to our success and growth as we incorporate not just the technology but the development and support teams as well. We have further expanded our capabilities through technology partnerships with leading service and technology providers. This approach allows us to offer our customers the best possible solutions for their needs, whether it is from BioClinica or an integrated partner.
Imaging Core Lab Services
Our medical image management services help our clients design and manage the medical imaging component of clinical trials. We have developed specialized services and proprietary software applications that enable independent radiologists and other medical specialists involved in clinical trials to review medical image data in an entirely digital format, and make highly precise measurements and bio-statistical inferences in the most efficient way possible.
Our imaging core lab services include the collection, processing, analysis and regulatory submission of medical images and related clinical data. Medical images are received from a wide variety of imaging modalities and the resulting data enables our clients and regulatory reviewers (primarily the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and comparable European agencies) to evaluate product efficacy and safety.
