Gain Payment Transparency and Visibility With ClinViz

Site satisfaction is recognized as an important factor for adherence to trial timelines and budget costs. And, sites report getting paid on time as a top-ranked concern, with one-third of North American sites waiting at least 90 days for payments. Slow payments cause financial stress for most sites and can result in high site turnover, while on-time payments motivate sites to drive data quality results and optimize site performance.

To keep sites happy and motivated, these payment issues need to be addressed. At Bioclinica, we developed a technology solution, ClinViz, which serves as the payee (site) portal that provides real-time access to their complete history. With ClinViz, sites can view the total amount and number of their payments, including all subject-related and non-subject-related payments. Clinical sites can also view the details of all payment transactions, historical payments and remittances that were sent in real time and on a historical basis. For reporting, ClinViz has the ability to export selected payment data into Excel and PDF formats for further analysis and real-time decision making.

We recently worked closely with a sponsor client to introduce and demonstrate the ClinViz functionality during their initial investigator meeting. This sponsor had transitioned from a manual payment process to ClinPay for site payments and decided to use ClinViz to provide the sites payment visibility and transparency. During the meeting, the sites responded positively to the ClinViz functionality and reported feeling empowered because they can access their payment information on demand rather than having to email inquiries to the sponsor.

We enjoyed working closely with the sponsor to demonstrate ClinViz at the meeting, and it was exciting to hear the site feedback. The sponsor is confident that ClinViz will help improve their relationships with their sites, and we look forward to working with the sponsor as they move forward with their ClinViz implementation.
